The loyalty of a friend who believes you even when all the world is against you is priceless

The thing at work here is Lan Zhan regretting not standing by Wei Ying the first time, leading to Lan Zhan losing his dearest friend (or lover, depending on which version you're going with). He's not making the same mistake again, no matter how much it costs him. The priority is clear: he's believing Wei Ying no matter what this time. The question isn't even, is Wei Ying completely morally correct or not? It's, is this person worth it to me in spite of his actions because I know his heart? And to Lan Zhan, the answer is: yes.

(yes, I'm rewatching my comfort show about true friendship and loyalty because what else do I do when my faith in both has been recently shaken?)

(this is now a shit-post blog; you're welcome)
